Read and lead

Speaking of words that sound alike:

"Also read and lead don't rhyme
and neither do read and lead,
but read and lead do rhyme
and so do read and lead."

Sandra sent me a text saying, "Just re-read the message."  There was no punctuation, as well as no subject.  I "heard" her saying, "Mom, just re-read it."  A command.  After thinking about it awhile, I realized she meant, "Mom, I just re-read what I had written, and here's what I meant to say."
